Hi, I’m Dane.
My name is Dane Dowell. My life’s been a journey. Raised in a military family, I’ve moved more times than I can count and as a result, love exploring new places. Travel has been an integral part of my life and served to challenge my world views and personal beliefs.
Graduating college on the east coast, I moved to Denver for an adventure and despite professional stints in Singapore, DC, NYC, and Paris, I keep coming home to the Colorado Front Range.
I spent the first 16 years of my career as a Certified Public Accountant working in the audit industry. From Big Four to regulator to consulting, I’m deeply familiar with the corporate world.
Longing to use my natural strengths in a manner that aligned with my own values and goals, in summer of 2020, I completed my coaching certification* and am now a life coach and a financial coach.
My passions include travel, writing, anything music, and anything outdoors, whether training for a triathlon or hiking and camping in the Rocky Mountains.

Why Life Coaching?
For me, life coaching is partnering with my clients and helping them find their own authentic direction in life.
I was lucky enough to have an amazing counselor and coach who helped me in my own journey learning to love myself, coming out and living an authentic life as gay man free of shame. Using many of the same tools, over time, I learned to challenge my world view and reconstructed my own beliefs, reconciling what I had always been taught with the realities I experienced in the world.
My role as a coach is to listen from a space of understanding, to acknowledge and validate my client’s experiences and to challenge the status quo from a place of curiosity, all in the hopes of helping my clients find their own truth.
Why Financial Coaching?
While I strongly believe that money does not buy happiness, money enables freedom and freedom allows for happiness.
As a accountant for more than 15 years, I know finances. I’m a master at budgeting, analyzing spending habits, and strategically developing financial plans. I’ve worked hard to manage my own finances to enable a freedom to now pursue my own dreams.
As a financial coach, I work with my clients and help them understand their current patterns, help develop future financial goals and help them to overcome internal blocks around money. My hope is that clients find their own freedom from finances so that they can make life decisions out of a place of desire and no longer obligation.
Hi, I’m Chris.
(Dane’s Dad)
My name is Chris Dowell. Much like my son, my life has also been a journey. Raised in Northern Virginia, after college, I joined the Navy and moved all over the US and France. After spending 20 years as a pilot in the Navy, I transitioned into executive recruiting and then eventually into coaching. I have been an executive coach* for more than 10 years now and I love what I do.
My wife and I have been married for almost 50 years. Together we raised our four children and now have five grandchildren.
I remember driving cross-country to Denver with my son, Dane, when he graduated college and was just starting his own journey in the world. We started an annual tradition of camping and backpacking in the Rocky Mountains. Most recently, we just finished hiking the Camino de Santiago across Spain together. Throughout the years, I have witnessed his own journey in learning to love himself as he came out and came of age. His coming out challenged my own world views and my wife and I embarked on our own journey, learning to love our son as he is and learning to love our own selves better.
Together, Dane and I work with families of LGBTQ+ individuals helping parents and children navigate difficult conversations and build more authentic relationships stemming from a place of love.
